How about an opportunity to develop leadership, expand your horizons, build your network, contribute to the community, and leave behind a legacy? Zeta Phi Rho is committed to all of these things and much more. The renowned Greek system at USC offers you many options, and the Distinguished Gentlemen of Zeta Phi Rho encourage you to choose carefully. We are recruiting strong individuals ready to enhance their college experience and become leaders. Forget everything you have heard about fraternities. Welcome to Zeta Phi Rho.
What is a fraternity?
Fraternities were originally established as highly selective organizations that teach their members valuable lessons while advancing their college careers in social, academic, philanthropic, and professional terms. Today many fraternities cloud those ideals by promoting media stereotypes such as hazing and alcohol binge drinking. What the world saw on August 10, 1995, was a new type of fraternity.
What is Rush?
Rush refers to the week in the beginning of the academic semester when fraternities and sororities recruit new members and schedule events for ‘rushees’ to get a glimpse of what their organization is all about. There is no commitment, no obligation to join, and everything is free. At the end of rush, the members give bids to the rushees that they want to invite into their frat/sorority.
What is Pledging?
“Pledging” refers to the actual process of joining a frat/sorority. Is it challenging? Yes, and it is widely considered to be the best experience a student can go through in college. You get out what you put in.
Why Zeta Phi Rho?
Social.
Zeta Phi Rho delivers everything a typical fraternity offers and more. Our resources, from sororities to athletics to nightclubs, are endless.
Academic.
Who said joining a frat would slow your academic progress? With brothers in virtually every field of study and regular study sessions, you can guarantee yourself a better academic experience.
Philanthropy.
Many fraternities claim that they contribute to the community, but few do more than once a semester. Zetas recognize the state of the neighboring communities around USC and we commit ourselves to regular, multiple philanthropic projects. Our national philanthropy is Habitat for Humanity.
Alumni connections, networking.
Although we are a young fraternity, we are definitely not small. Brothers have graduated with various degrees and are continuing the tradition by making a difference wherever their lives take them.
Brotherhood unlike any other.
Zeta Phi Rho takes you back to the roots of the original fraternities. We create leaders. We are Distinguished Gentlemen. It is not hard to understand how we have expanded to eight chapters in nine years and are the fastest growing fraternity in Southern California. Our expansion process is concentrated, ensuring that every brother has an opportunity to network with brothers from every chapter. It is because of the leadership, philanthropy and overall brotherhood development that Zeta Phi Rho is a brotherhood unlike any other.
