It is a tradition for our annual Zeta Phi “Skid” Rho to increase in size from one to the next. This year is no different as Randy Gonzales, organizer of last year’s Zeta Phi “Skid” Rho, spearheads 2007’s event to raise awareness and provide support for the residents of Skid Row.

Downtown L.A.
From our organization registration packet, “In conjunction with the Midnight Mission and sponsoring student organizations, Zeta Phi Rho will have 4,000 bag lunches made during the four and a half hour event in Alumni Park. The idea is for those passing by to notice and hopefully take some time to make a few bag lunches. These lunches will then be transported, courtesy of the Midnight Mission, to their building located on Skid Row for distribution.”
Midnight Mission will be in attendance and provide information as well transportation of the sandwiches. “The primary purpose of the Midnight Mission is to take the homeless off of Skid Row and re-establish them again as useful and self-respecting citizens.”
The event will take place on November 16th, at Alumni Park from 11:00AM to 2:30PM.
If you would like to have your organization officially recognized as participating (appear on flyer and given banner space) please contact Randy Gonzales at president@usczetas.com for a registration packet.
Otherwise, stop by and make a sandwich or two! Updates as the weeks progress (funding approval in the works)…
