Today, CBB started out with Randy’s personal collection of Pokemon cards from back in the day. The kids somehow knew every single Pokemon by sight and starting naming them all, yelling and pointing.

They even knew all the evolutions and back-story for most of the characters. Crazy.

At first I was relieved to find an activity that took out the constant running we had become accustomed to, but after five minutes, ADD kicked in and soon all the kids were repeating, “Cops and Robbers!” Great.
Now there are several things that need to be detailed:
1. The Adults are always the Cops & the Kids are always the Robbers
2. These Kids do not stop running. Ever. They just keep going.
3. They habitually taunt, throwing out names like “Jimmy Wang” ? and Fat-so. All while running.
4. When tagged, they continue running. (There are essentially no rules in this version)
As you can imagine, its literally just us bros chasing them around the entire blacktop, and around buildings. They are actually pretty fast and since they have a lot more energy we tire out before they even break a sweat. Other kids who are watching end up getting sucked into the game and a 7 on 7 cops and robbers game becomes a 7 on 20 game. Utter Chaos.
While we were exhausted, the kids had fun and at the end of it we all huddled up and said a parting chant. Today’s words for some reason were, “Power Rangers!” Afterwards, we all high-fived and parted ways.
